Pesto Pasta

Did someone say pasta? This quick, delicious recipe only requires a few simple ingredients and is a great source of pre-workout carbs. 

It takes 2 minutes of preparation, 10 minutes of cooking time and makes 2 servings. Check it out:

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pasta (spiral or penne pasta works best)
  • 2 tbsp basil pesto
  • 1 large tomato (fresh)
  • ΒΌ cup grated parmesan cheese 

Instructions

  • Boil water in a pot on the stove and cook pasta for 10 minutes or until tender.
  • In the meantime, dice the tomato and split into two piles. 
  • Drain the pasta, then add pesto and stir until mixed. 
  • Place the pasta onto two plates and top with diced tomato and parmesan. 

Pesto pasta is as easy as that! If you want to add protein, try baked chicken breast or pan-fried tofu.
