If you’re looking for a brand new lunch or dinner recipe, look no further. Creamy shrimp spaghetti is easy to make, tastes great and will give you your pre-workout fill of carbs and protein.
This recipe takes 5 minutes of preparation, 10 minutes of cooking time and makes 2 servings.
Ingredients
- 1 handful of uncooked spaghetti
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 garlic cloves (sliced)
- 10-15 frozen shrimp
- ½ cup cream
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Salt and pepper
- ¼ cup parsley leaves (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the spaghetti in a medium pot of boiling water for 10 minutes (or until al dente). Drain and keep warm.
- While the spaghetti is cooking, melt the butter in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and shrimp and cook for 2 minutes or until the shrimp is thawed and warm to the touch. Then, remove butter, garlic and shrimp from the pan and set aside.
- Add the cream and lemon juice to the pan, simmering for 5 minutes.
- Return the shrimp mixture to the pan, along with the spaghetti. Stir until all ingredients are mixed.
- Serve on two plates and add salt, pepper and parsley (optional) to taste.
